Who Will Be the Antichrist???

As a teenager I was always intrigued by the prognostications of Nostradamus. One thing that I could never wrap my mind around was how one person, the antichrist, could feasibly have enough power to take over the world. This person may rule America, or one of the other western powers, but how could they rule both? In addition, how could they also rule all the communist Asian countries? Conceptually it made no sense back in the 1980s, but in 2011, the world is ripe for the taking. 20 years ago the world was broken up into numerous countries, each with a distinct economic and political system. Now, everyone is fully aware that the internet has completely shrunken the world, and the globalization of everything is in full swing. Thanks to America’s financial hardships over the last few years, the entire planet’s economy seems to be in flux. A war breaks out in Libya, and the price of oil jumps substantially. If any one person was going to take over the world, there’s never been a time like the present.
It was long hypothesized that Barack Obama was going to take over the world, and be the antichrist. He was smart, engaging, a phenomenal speaker, and he was antiestablishment without seeming rogue. Now it’s obvious that this is impossible because Obama is the President of the United States during a time when bipartisanship is completely nonexistent, so half of the country inherently hates him. Furthermore, he’s an African-American, so inherently he will be disliked by a considerable amount of people. Lastly, America is weak right now, so anyone from the United States that could take over the world has to be wealthy enough to influence change. Obama and his wife are barely millionaires (thanks to royalties from his books), and now he makes only $400,000 each year, and she is no longer practicing law. If Obama, one of the most charismatic and gifted orators America has seen in decades won’t be the antichrist, who else could?
Donald Trump- He fits the financial piece, but he’s too much of a blowhard. The antichrist has to be smooth enough to make everyone agree with their opinions; Trump comes on way to strongly.
Warren Buffett- He definitely has the financial backing, and he is well like and respected by almost everyone. Probably the only drawback is that he’s just too old. Many will think that he wouldn’t be able to sustain for the long haul.
Bill Gates- He certainly has the money, global respect, and plenty of time to be successful in world domination. It seems like Gates would be a great candidate, but he and his wife are too busy actually trying to save the world, not take it over for their own heinous desires.
Oprah Winfrey- The owner of the OWN network has lots of money, national acclaim, and significant amounts of time to take over the world. Winfrey already has every woman in the world on her side, and nothing will ever change that. Most men don’t care about her either way, but she’s wealthy and powerful enough to sway men who oppose her. Consider that she is already a multi-billionaire, and literally any book she endorses becomes a #1 best seller, any candidate she endorses wins their election, and anyone she disagrees with basically has to come on her show and apologize on national television! The strikes against Oprah are that she’s female, and that she’s an African-American. The female aspect is less important now that increasing numbers of women are holding high ranking offices. Although seemingly unthinkable about 10 years ago, a female candidate, Sara Palin, may be the strongest competition for Obama on the Republican ticket. Oprah has more money and power than Palin, and that speaks volumes. Male dominated cultures will provide a slight roadblock, but she has more money than anyone who actually considers females to be second class citizens. In regards to her race, her income and influence makes that issue negligible. The school in Africa Winfrey established gets a lot of notoriety, but imagine other things she’s already developed that get little or no publicity. It’s not always easy for citizens of African countries to open such elaborate facilities, so Oprah already has exclusive status in a difficult market. Her race may produce ire for some here in America, but it has no bearing on her success internationally, and may actually benefit her in some situations. People blindly trust Oprah because she is often self deprecating, seemingly honest, emotionally demonstrative, and generous. It’s so much easier to stand behind someone who seems just like you are, but actually isn’t. The average person can’t relate to people like Trump, movie stars, and professional athletes because of their air of invincibility and constant flaunting of financial windfalls. Winfrey already has a legion of followers, and it wouldn’t be hard for her to garner countless more because of her average Joe appeal. Of course I’m probably going to be locked up in jail forever for even making such an assertion, but Oprah (her real first name is actually Orpah) Winfrey will be the antichrist. All of the signs point to this fact, and the groundwork has already been set. So does this mean that Dr. Phil actually DID make a deal with the devil to become so rich and famous?
